The office of Kisoro Resident District Commissioner has written to the Ministry of Education and Sports to respond to the serious issues affecting Kisoro Technical Institute in Nyakabande Sub County where students recently threatened to strike over poor management of the Institute.
Kisoro RDC Hajji Shafiq Ssekandi said the district has requested for the whole Institute to be replaced with new leadership and new infrastructure also known as an overhaul to ensure that service delivery can improve.
The comments come following a peaceful demonstration by over 100 Students of Kisoro Technical Institute who visited the Office of the RDC and Chief Administrative Officer to raise issues of mismanagement of the Institute.
Ssekandi said the Students did well to report the matter and commended them for not being rowdy but asked them to remain calm as the Government responds to the matter as quickly as possible.
