Students of Mandela Secondary School Main Campus in Hoima City have this morning {Thursday} gone on strike, and a number of school properties destroyed.

Fred Byenkya, the School Public Relations Officers says the reason for the strike hasn’t been established.

‘’There was a strike, and the reason for the strike hasn’t been established,’’ he told boonafm.com

Information reaching our news room indicates that a number of properties have been destroyed including wall fences, school vans, bus and windows among others.

ASP Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson says that the situation has been contained and they are in control of the school premises.

There was a strike, the situation has been contained and we are in control of the school premises,’’ he said.
