The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee is to sit tomorrow Wednesday 15 th June 2022 to set a date for conducting an exclusive auditing activity in Rukungiri district to exhaust pending querries.
This follows the audit activity that was held on 24 th May 2022 in Mbarara City where the audit activity of Rukungiri district was postponed due to the lack of the required books of accounts according to the chairperson Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee Hon Mapenduzi Martin Ojara.
The Rukungiri LC5 chairperson Geoffrey Kyomukama who attended the audit activity was asked about the missing books of Accounts, but he pointed to the technical staff.
Hon Mapenduzi Martin Ojara confirmed that they will be interested in exhausting the recruitment processes of workers and misuse of funds among others which were detected.
This comes after the Rukungiri district Public Accounts Committee chaired by Wilson Kamukungu ordered for the recovery of misused public funds in Rwerere Town Council, Kebisoni Town Council, and Kebisoni Sub County. #PAC #audit
