The Ntungamo Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) has warned Health center In-Charges against Stealing Government Drugs.
According to the Deputy resident District Commissioner Robert Kamuntu, the Health In-Charges in the District have continued stealing Drugs hence putting patients at risk.
Kamuntu also condemned parents who are against immunization, noting that during the process some escape to the neighboring Districts then come back later which he said is putting children at risk.
He was speaking during the opening of a two day training of health workers in the District organized by a team from Mbarara facilitated by USAID Rhites-SW in partnership with the District Health Officials like Mr Asiimwe Moses, District Health surveillance officer and District Health Officer Sr Beatrice Chemusto.
The training was held at Ntungamo District Council Hall in Ntungamo District and was aimed at enhancing surveillance.
Mr Asiimwe Moses, the District Health surveillance officer urged Health workers to be confident in case there is epidemic.
He said that some health workers have been found sending messages that cause panic to members of the public using social media channels instead of comforting them.
