The Rukungiri district Muslim development coordinator Mwaza Nshangabasheija Habib has asked Muslim leaders in all mosques in the district to measure and demarcate all their land so that they can get land titles to protect it from land grabbers.
He made these remarks Friday afternoon while speaking to Muslims of Kahooko mosque in Nyakagyeme sub-county during the Rukungiri district Muslim Kadhi’s familiarisation tour.
Mwaza said the district Muslim committee, is ready to help them so that they can acquire land titles as failure to demarcate it might put it at stake.
He also advised Muslims to set up income-generating activities in their homes which will help them to transform their families and mosques.
Yahaya Tuesday, the Rukungiri district Muslim Education coordinator asked Muslims in Nyakagyeme to educate their children.
He also asked them to support teachers of the Islamic schools so that they can also concentrate on teaching their children.
The Rukungiri district Muslim Kadhi Sheikh Abdul Malik Byaruhanga Kayole appreciated the good work being done by the Moslems of Kahooko mosque regardless of being few in numbers.
He added that his familiarisation tour is to know the Muslim population, the location of mosques, and to interact with Muslims to know the problems affecting them.
