Police in Mbarara City are investigating circumstances under which Prison Warder Chemutai Aloysious 27 attached to Kakiika Prison shot and killed Prison Wardress Adong Magdalena 24 attached to Prison Academy and Training School Luzira and later turned the gun on himself
According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region Police spokesman, preliminary investigations show that the two officers have been involved in a relationship and that on the 11/06/2022 Prison Wardress Adong Magdalena paid a visit to Warder Chemutai Aloysious at Kakiika prison but yesterday while on duty, Warder Chemutai Aloysious shot and killed Adong Magdalena who was together with him on his duty post.
Kasasira says the scene of the crime was visited by Police who recovered the killer weapon, an SMG Rifle No.UG PRI 49001094-01247 with 24 rounds of ammunition and three cartridges of the discharged bullets.
The bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Mbarara Regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem as inquiries into the matter continue. #gunviolence #murder #crime #crimeofpassion
