Residents of Kyàmakanda Parish, Buyanja Sub County, Rukungiri District have expressed dissatisfaction over the sorry state of their Road.

The road connects four Sub-counties of Buyanja Sub-county and Town Council as well as Kebisoni Sub County and Town Council.
It stretches from Buyanja – Biguri Road in Buyanja Town Council and then stretches through Kagarama B cell in Buyanja Town Council, Kagarama A cell, and Matebe cell in Buyanja Sub County upto Kanywa Bridge at the border of Buyanja and Kebisoni Sub Counties.
Arthur Kyempare, an elder living along the road around the spot of sharp pothole along the slopes of Matebe hill says that communal work can’t manage the required rehabilitation and they reported the problem to the authorities but all was in vain.

He added this has affected the people in the area, especially those transporting their produce to the market.

Teacher Ephraim Ahimbisibwe who uses the road to access his school revealed that the road has sharp stones and holes that are a burden to students.
The Chairperson LC3 Buyanja Sub County Agaba Emmy Rubondo confirmed that they are aware of the conditions of the road noting that they have fuel to rehabilitate it but have not yet received the grader but they expect to receive it soon.

He urged the affected residents to initiate communal work until the Sub-county receives a grade.
