The Bishop of Kabale diocese Rt Rev Callistus Rubaramira has today ordained eight priests and 14 Deacons, during a function that was held at St Mary’s Rushoroza Cathedral parish grounds in Kabale Municipality
The 8 priests are Rev Fr Bruno Tumwesigye and Rev Fr Aloysius Namara, both from Rushoroza catholic parish, Rev Fr Zaverio Tindimwebwa from Nyarushanje Catholic parish, Rev Fr Juluis Ankunda from Rutooma parish, Rev Fr Nicodemus Mubangizi and Rev Fr Paul Atuyambe both from Rubanda parish, Rev Fr Jeremias Nsabimana from Kinanira parish and Rev Fr Deus Niwagaba from Rwanyena parish.





Those who were ordained as deacons include are Nelson Agaba, Paul Bawenzaki, Ponsiono Kwitonda, Bruno Nkwasibwe, Chrispino Mubangizi, Isaac Turinawe, Ambrose Ndinumukiza, Alexander Muhumuza, Brian Niwagaba, Felix Bigiromuhangi, Ronald Niwamumpaire, Selestina Nkamwesiga, Clement Musaby’Imana, and Martin Nkurunziza.
Presiding over the function, Bishop Rubaramira asked the newly ordained priests to perform God’s work diligently, as well as reminded them that the work of priesthood is difficult saying that they must persist against every situation.
He further asked them to put in action what they preach in order for the Christians to believe in them.
The function was attended by the State minister of Trade, industries and Cooperative David Bahati, the Ministry of Finance through Minister Henry Musasizi, the Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira, the Ndorwa East Member of Parliament Hon Wilfred Niwagaba, and the Rubanda District Woman Member of Parliament Prosy Akampurira Mbabazi, among others.
