Ibanda University commemorated three years of providing educational services in Rwampara, as the first batch of students at the Rwampara campus completes their courses this January.

According to the campus Vice Chancellor, John Mugisha Mutoto, the establishment of the campus aimed to address the gap created by the new education policy, which prohibits individuals without degrees from participating in the education system. Primarily focusing on in-service education students, the campus has successfully catered to the needs of over 1500 students, highlighting the demand for quality services and the university’s significant role in bridging the educational void.

During a school general assembly held to mark this milestone, Vice Chancellor Mutoto emphasized the importance of humility among students and urged them to avoid pride. Students expressed their appreciation for the learning opportunities provided by the university, emphasizing the affordability of education at a time when uncertainty surrounded them due to the new government policy.
