The Rubabo County Legislator Hon Namanya Naboth has called for patience from Kebisoni Sub-county administrators on the operationalization of Kebisoni Secondary Seed School.
On 5th November 2019, the government under the Ministry of Education and sports commenced the construction of the school in Katenga cell, Nyeibingo parish, Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri District at a tune of 2.9 billion Uganda Shillings which was contracted by MUPA Technical Services, but the project stalled.
The Kebisoni Sub County administration headed by the chairperson LC3 and Sub-county speaker expressed dissatisfaction before the area member of Parliament Hon Namanya Naboth about the project.
The Sub County Speaker Nahwera Benson Ntegyereize says that the council has been deliberating about the school following pressure from the community because parents are ready to send their children to the school, The Kebisoni LC3 Chairperson Charles Kahanyi disclosed that they have submitted many petitions to the district authorities but all in vain.
While responding to their concern, the Rubabo Member of Parliament Hon Namanya Naboth confirmed that disagreements erupted between the contractor and government over taxes and amendments in bills of quantities He noted that the work only remained on building the playground and installing laboratory equipment and furniture but no one is sure when this will happen.
