Rev. Father Oscar Ahimbisibwe Omusyasya, the Parish Priest of Kishariro Catholic Church in Nyamunuka Town Council, Ntungamo District, delivered a valuable message to students, encouraging them to cleanse their minds of negative influences that might disrupt their pursuit of excellence.
This enlightening teaching took place on Friday, October 13, 2023, during a mass led by Father Oscar as part of a retreat organized to bless Senior 4 and 6 students at St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School in Katojo, Buyanja Town Council, Rukungiri District.
Father Oscar Ahimbisibwe Omusyasya addressed several issues, including witchcraft, rape, theft, failure, and laziness, emphasizing how these negative influences can dominate their thoughts and impede their academic performance.
In response to Father Oscar’s teachings, Patrick Tuhaisomujuni, the School Head Teacher, commended the facilitators of the retreat and urged the students to uphold their commitment to achieving the highest grades ever in the history of the school, which was established in 2001.
Edward Muhwezi, the School Catechist, praised the students for consistently demonstrating Christian values during their time at the school and expressed optimism about their success in the upcoming Uganda National Examinations (UNEB), scheduled to commence on Monday.
Former students, united under the St. Paul’s Old Students Association (SPOSA), generously donated a pair of pens and rulers to each Senior 4 candidate as a gesture of support.
