Police in Mitooma District are currently searching for unidentified individuals who brutally murdered a 70-year-old woman under mysterious circumstances.
According to Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the Greater Bushenyi Police, the victim has been identified as Bishiki Buradina, a resident of Nyaruzinga Cell in Katazo Parish, Mutara Sub County, Mitooma District.
The incident is believed to have occurred on October 1, 2023. On that evening, the husband of the deceased left their home for a walk, leaving his wife behind. When he returned late at night, he was shocked to find that his wife was missing.
Although the door was closed, it was not locked, so he entered the house and waited for her return, but she never came back.
On October 2, 2023, family members woke up and noticed that their pig was missing from the coffee tree where it had been tied. While searching for the pig, they made a grim discovery – the lifeless body of the deceased in a nearby stream.
The body bore a deep injury on the forehead, believed to have been caused by a blunt object. The deceased’s body was subsequently taken to Kitagata Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
