The Bishop of North West Ankole Diocese, Rt Rev Amos Magezi has urged Christians to prioritize the well-being of children and avoid any actions that could harm them.
Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony in Kabale district, which celebrated Gracevilla, a sanctuary dedicated to supporting vulnerable girls, Bishop Magezi emphasized the importance of treating children with the utmost respect, love, and compassion.
Expressing his concern about the various dangers faced by children in today’s world, Bishop Magezi called attention to the surprising silence of Christians in addressing these issues.
He reiterated that it is God’s plan and desire for every child to experience a fulfilling life while cautioning against the devil’s attempts to disrupt this divine plan.
In addition to the thanksgiving ceremony, Bishop Magezi led the groundbreaking ceremony for a new resource center valued at over Ushs 3 billion.
This initiative aims to provide essential life skills training to vulnerable girls in South Western Uganda, empowering them for a brighter future.
Ruth Kendegye Ndyabahika, the founder and director of Grace Villa, expressed deep gratitude for the support received from members of the community.
Despite the challenges they have faced, Ndyabahika credited God’s grace for guiding them through difficult times.
The event successfully raised over Ushs 1 billion in both cash and pledges to support the establishment of the resource center for vulnerable girls.
