Centenary Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement and partnership by joining the second anniversary celebrations of the Episcopal ministry of Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe as Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese.
During the Thanksgiving event held on April 27 at the diocesan headquarters in Rukungiri Municipality, the bank’s team, led by Chief Manager for Corporate and SME Banking Rashid Musisi Ssemanda, participated in the celebrations and expressed Centenary Bank’s desire to deepen collaboration with faith-based institutions.
Speaking at the event, Ssemanda highlighted that Centenary Bank’s foundation on Catholic principles has never limited its service reach, as it is committed to working with all Ugandans regardless of their religious or political backgrounds.
He also reaffirmed the bank’s support toward initiatives spearheaded by churches, especially in the education and healthcare sectors, through their active Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
Newly appointed Rukungiri Branch Manager Brian Kasaija emphasized the positive strides made by Bishop Onesimus in transforming the diocese, praising the bishop’s leadership. He noted that the strong relationship between Centenary Bank and the Diocese signifies a new era of cooperation and mutual support.
Assistant Manager Justus Tindigarukayo encouraged the faithful and the broader public to consider Centenary Bank for their banking needs, emphasizing the institution’s broad range of financial services and its open-door policy for all communities.
The bank contributed 100 bags of cement to support the completion of the new cathedral.
