The Bishop of Kabale catholic diocese Rt.Rev Callist Rubaramira has tasked married couples to build strong relationships based on love for each other and trust in God to avoid marriage break-ups that seem to be taking an upward trend.
Bishop Callist was Saturday 20th August, 2022 leading a golden jubilee and thanksgiving mass for Mr. Fabiano Ntaburize 80, and his wife Mrs. Pricilla Ntaburize, which was held at Uganda martyrs catholic church-Rwenkurijo, in Buyanja sub county Rukungiri district.
During the sermon, Bishop Callist Rubaramira stressed that it is not easy for two people to live together for 50 years, thus appealing to couples to live their lives by commitment and love.
Bishop Callist Rubaramira further emphasized a need for the old couples to educate the youth on how they have sustained their families for long.
He lauded Mr Ntaburize and his wife Pricilla Ntaburize for loving Jesus Christ who has kept their marriage holy up to his old age. He further urged married couples to always keep Jesus Christ in their families.
A total of shs 25,828,500 was collected during the thanksgiving.
