Police in Isingiro District on Friday 08/09/2023 at about 07:10 PM responded to a scene of a fatal accident involving motor vehicles UBG 812K Isuzu bus belonging to Global company orange in color and UBL 945 Y Fuso Fighter
It’s alleged that today 08/09/2023 at about 07:10 PM motor vehicle UBL 945Y loaded with scrap metals with passengers on board from Isingiro headed to Mbarara developed a mechanical fault losing control on a slope at Mile 17 forcing the oncoming Bus from the opposite direction to park aside for fear of a head-on collision in the process the truck hit the bus at the rear and both motor vehicles overturned killing 08 Male adults unidentified in the truck and injured 01 Male adult unidentified in the bus
The injured were rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for treatment and the bodies of the deceased’s conveyed to Mbarara Regional Referral Mortuary.
