At least six pupils of Rubirizi primary school in Nyarushanje Subcounty Rukungiri district have been admitted at Kisizi Hospital after being alleged to have taken expired Jolly Jus.
The incident happened on Thursday morning after break time when one of the pupils bought a packet of jolly jus and shared it with others who mixed it with water using empty plastic bottles.
Shortly after drinking, the pupils went to class and after a couple of minutes, a number of them started crying about stomach pain which forced the school administrators to intervene.
Chance Moses the school headteacher has confirmed this development saying that so far six pupils are receiving treatment at Kisizi Hospital as they wait for the doctors to confirm what could have caused them to feel stomach complications after taking this substance.
