Police in Sheema District is investigating the gruesome murder of 30 year old Atuhaire Sylivia,a canteen Operator at Bishop Mclister college Kyogyera and her one year old baby
The Greater Bushenyi Police spokesman Marcial Tumusiime says the information was received by Police from an informer indicating that there was a dead body of a child near the school gate and the mother of the child was in critical condition after being unlawfully wounded by unknown persons.
Tumusiime says the call was made around 01:00AM this morning
Police officers led by D/Aip,Muhangi rushed to the scene and confirmed the murder of the child.
The mother who was also lying-in critical condition near her dead child was rushed to Mbarara Regional referral hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The toddler’s body was conveyed to Kabwohe health center 1v mortuary.
ASP Tumusiime explains that the deceased along with her husband identified as Ampaire Moses had earlier in the evening been in Bushenyi to celebrate the birthday of their child who was also killed
As they headed back, the husband proceeded to Mbarara while the wife and her child also went to Kyogyera where her canteen is located and that’s where she met her death with her child,
Both bodies are now at kabwohe health center 1v pending postmortem.
