Police in Rubanda District are hunting for an 18 year old man, who allegedly assaulted an 11 year old boy to death.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi region police mouthpiece identified the suspect as Turyatemba Neserasi a herdsman and resident of Rushunga cell Nyarurambi parish Muko subcounty in Rubanda district and the deceased as Devis Arineitwe also a herdsman of the same address.
It’s alleged that on 03/05/2023 the deceased in the company of two other herds’ boys stole roasted maize belonging to the suspect, who caught them in the act and assaulted them
On the same day moments later, Arinaitwe was taken to Muko Health center 4 where he was given first aid and sent back home.
On 06/05/2023, he was taken for review at the Health center but he was found dead in his bed yesterday morning.
Police was alerted by one Innocent Atuheire,
Maate says the scene was visited by Police and documented, postmortem was done at Muko Health Centr 4 and efforts for the suspect are being made.
