Over 100 million shillings was yesterday (Sunday) raised at a fundraising Function for Kyatoko church of Uganda in Rujumbura Archdeaconary North Kigezi diocese in Eastern Division Rukungiri municipality 

The fundraising was aimed at collecting resources for the roofing and completion if the church structure which is under construction.

 Bishop Patrick Tugume Tusigwire the caretaker bishop of North Kigezi diocese who led the fundraising service thanked   Christians from Kyatoko church of Uganda especially those under the Kampala chapter for being cooperative , hardworking and supportive towards development of their church  and North Kigezi diocese.

 He urged the Christians to   support church development as they wait for God’s rewards

North Kigezi diocesan office   contributed shillings one million.

Hon Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa, the Rukungiri municipality legislator who represented the security minister and  Rujumbura county Legislator Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi at the Fundraising function as chief guest commended the good work that is being done by Christians of Kyatoko church of Uganda  

He told the congregation that legislators from Rukungiri, recently   met Rukungiri district officials in Kampala and deliberated on service delivery   

Rev. Fred Tumwesigye the parish priest for Kyatoko church of Uganda thanked Christians for being cooperative especially the Kyatoko kampala chapter which contributed over 65 million to support construction work adding that he has hopes that the church will be completed since Christians have joined hands to support it.

 Gershom Twesigye   the Kyatoko church of Uganda fundraising chief organizer thanked everyone who mobilized and  contributed towards  the cause   which  helped them to raise funds that will enable  them to resume  the construction of their church .

The function was graced by the headteacher, Ntare school Mr. Jimmy Turyagyenda who hails from Kyatoko, members of the Rukungiri business community among others.
